About Jesse Barfield
Jesse (nicknamed "Bakefield") was a member of the best outfield in baseball during the 1980’s (along with Bell and Moseby). Over his career 12-year MLB career, Jesse hit .256, had 241 homeruns, and was an American League All-Star in 1986. Jesse won two Gold Glove awards (1986 and 1987) and was the AL homerun leader in 1986 with 40 HR’s. Jesse currently lives in Houston with his wife Marla, but spends a great deal of his summer in Toronto assisting with the Blue Jays Baseball Academy. Jesse enjoys speaking with young baseball players about: (1) outfield play, and (2) hitting. Known for his welcoming personality, Jesse loves speaking with people of all different backgrounds.
