Christine Sinclair

Sinclair is Canadian Soccer Royalty. Currently the captain of the national team, she also plays professionally for the Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist and 14-time winner of the Canada Soccer Player of the Year award. Sinclair is the world's all-time leader for international goals scored for men or women with 186 goals. Sinclair has played in five FIFA Women's World Cups and three Olympics. She has been nominated for FIFA World Player of the Year seven times. In 2012, she won the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada's athlete of the year. In 2013, she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame and in 2017, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.
