Hall of Fame NHL goaltender who won six Stanley Cup Championships alongside the great Wayne Gretzky on the Edmonton Oilers from 1984 to 1990. He was a 6-time All-Star and the recipient of the 1988 Vezina Trophy as the league’s top goaltender. He began his professional career with the WHL’s Victoria Cougars in 1979 and he was selected 8th overall in the 1981 NHL Draft by the Oilers. He retired with a number of NHL records, including most assists by a goaltender in a single season (14 in 1983-84) and most consecutive appearances by a goaltender in a season (76 in 1995-96).
